Coach Steve founded Southfork Sports Complex in 2015 with the idea of building a baseball, softball and training facility that could accomodate teams and players of all skill levels. Steve is a 1994 graduate of Texas A&M, has over 20 years of baseball coaching experience with his passion for the sport stamped in every aspect of Southfork Sports.
Steve is married to Nikki and has three children - Jake, Andie and Joey.
Coach Michael graduated from Wylie High School where he was a two year starter on the varsity football team. He earned two All-District selection's his junior and senior seasons and was named a team captain his senior season.
Coach Michael went on to play college football at Augustana University where he started 24 games, was named 2x All-Conference safety his junior and senior season, and was named a team captain as a senior. During that senior season, Michael helped lead the team to it's first playoff appearance since 2015 and was apart of a top 10 Defense in the nation across all of D2. He went on to graduate from Augustana in 2019 with a bachelors degree in marketing.
Baseball
Lettered all four years at Lakeview Centennial HS. Awarded District Defensive MVP in 2016. Played one year at Paris JC. Played 2 more years at Concordia University - Texas and later graduated from CTX.
Pitched four years at UT Dallas with 62 appearances and 78 innings pitched posting a 4.50 ERA over his career. All-Conference as a freshman on the Comets' ASC Championship team leading the team in appearances and finished 4th in career saves and 4th in career appearnces. Jake was named UTD Pitcher of the Year and was the conference leader in saves in 2025 with a 0.45 ERA allowing only one earned run in 20 innings over 16 appearances as a senior. He finished his career without allowing an earned run in 19 of his last 20 outings.
Three-time all-district honoree while at Plano East High School...earned first team all-district honors as a senior...two-year team captain...tabbed second team Academic All-State...three-time academic all-district selection and played four years of high school summer ball under Jack Sharp and Sam Carpenter for the Dallas Mustangs.
Jake speciallizes in pitching mechanics, hitting and fielding and is available Monday-Fridays for lessons.
Some of my best lessons came from my hardest failures in my playing career and personal life. Growing up in New Jersey, I never had the opportunities available today. Select baseball, indoor facilities, strength and conditioning, and of course baseball instruction are several resources for players today. With that being said, my expertise comes from experience, knowledge, success and failures.

Connor Reed grew up in Plano where he played at Plano Senior High School from 2009-2012. Played collegiately at Hill College and Ouachita Baptist University. Pitched professionally with the Lake Erie Crushers and Schaumburg Boomers in the Frontier League from 2016-2020. Pitching Coach with Schaumburg Boomers in 2021. OnBaseU Pitching Movement Screen Certified. Spent 2022 season as an MiLB Pitching Coach in The Milwaukee Brewers Organization. Has experience working with pitchers at the Division 1 College and Professional level.
Ben Long (Pitching Only)
Coached for 10 years in travel baseball as a head coach from ages 8u to 18u. Coached for Mojo Baseball, Baseball Nation, Easton Elite, Dallas Mustangs and Dallas Tigers.
Played Varsity at Irving Nimitz as a Freshman and was a 3 year letter at Grapevine High School. Pitched for the 1996 and 1997 Connie Mack World Champion Dallas Mustangs under coaches Sam Carpenter and Jack Sharp.
Played at Tulane University for a season before transferring to pitch at Texas Tech University for two years. Graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelors' Degree in Marketing.
Worked under formed MLB instructor Ronnie Ortegon for the past two years helping organize player development programs for the Dallas Tigers.
Keith Furnish played college baseball, as a catcher, in Northern Illinois. His college coach told all players when they arrived on campus, "You didn't get drafted out of high school, so you need learn the game as a coach if you want to stay in the game." True statement during that period of time. Coach Furnish brings 35 years of coaching experience to Southfork. He has coached around the metroplex with youth organizations such as DBAT and the Dallas Mustangs, but now he focuses on passing his knowledge to the youth through his lessons. "My goal is to guide players to be as good as they would like to be."
With years of experience both playing and coaching baseball, Todd Ronnau brings passion and expertise to youth instructional lessons. A former college baseball player, Todd played at Cloud County Community College in Concordia, Kansas, and Friends University in Wichita, Kansas, excelling as a pitcher, third baseman, and catcher. His deep understanding of the game allows him to teach the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, and pitching to young players.
Since 2010, Todd has coached youth teams across baseball, basketball, and football, and in 2015, he co-founded NTX Tribe Baseball. As a coach of high-level teams, Todd has successfully developed numerous players, guiding them toward their goals of playing college baseball. Now serving as the recruiting coordinator for NTX Tribe, he continues to help aspiring athletes navigate the recruiting process and achieve their dreams.

Softball
Coach Bri has been a part of Southfork Sports as a softball instructor since 2017. She played for Northwestern State University where she earned all-conference first baseman honors, was named to the All-Louisiana First Team, and earned her degree in Psychology. Coach Bri is the DFW area coordinator and a coach for the Texas Glory Softball organization.
Celeste Soliz is a dedicated and accomplished former collegiate softball player with a passion for empowering young athletes to achieve their dreams. Originally recognized as a top 100 softball player in 2018, and playing internationally for the Junior Mexico Team in 2019. She competed at the Division I level at Mississippi State University before continuing her career at the University of Texas at Dallas, where she honed her skills and deepened her love for the game.
With a wealth of experience as a high-performing athlete, Celeste now channels her expertise into coaching, specializing in working with slappers, left-handed hitters and catchers. Celeste's approach to coaching is rooted in her own experiences as a competitive athlete, blending discipline, encouragement, and personalized guidance to inspire the next generation of softball players.
Kayla Dunn is a dedicated former collegiate softball player with a passion for teaching the game of softball to the next generation. She competed at the Division I level at Georgetown University from 2021-2025, where she is 4th in program history for Games Started, Innings Pitched, and Strikeouts. Before Georgetown, Kayla was as a 2x Player and Player of the Year for the South Wake Athletic Conference, 2x District Pitcher of the Year, and a finalist for NC Gatorade Player of the Year in 2021.
Kayla now draws on her experience to coach the next generation of softball players. With over 6 years of experience giving pitching lessons, Kayla's goal is to make young pitchers the best versions of themselves through discipline, resilience, motivation, and confidence.
